METAL FABRICATION MACHINERY
Metal fabrication machinery financing and leasing
A fab shop is a set of machines that each do one thing well: the brake bends, the shear cuts, the ironworker punches, the saw sections. Buying them one at a time means the shop is never quite complete. Financing the set puts every machine on the floor at once and lets the first contracts pay for them.
What we finance
New or used, from any vendor, dealer or auction. Named manufacturers are examples of what this covers, not a limit — if what you need is not on this list, ask.
- Hydraulic and servo-electric press brakes — Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, Accurpress, Cincinnati
- Hydraulic shears and guillotine shears to half-inch plate
- Hydraulic ironworkers — Scotchman, Piranha, Edwards, 45 to 150 ton
- Horizontal band saws, automatic feed saws and cold saws
- CNC plasma tables, oxy-fuel cutters and bevel heads
- Tube and pipe benders, roll benders and section rollers
- Beam drill lines, angle lines and structural coping machines
- Plate rolls, slip rolls and sheet metal folders
- Deburring, grinding and finishing machines
- Press brake tooling, punch and die sets and safety light curtains
- Welding cells, positioners and fume extraction
- Complete fabrication shop buildouts and second-shift expansions
Why lease it
01
Equip the whole shop at once
A press brake without a shear is a shop that still outsources its blanks. One lease covers the brake, the shear, the ironworker, the saw and the tooling, so the shop opens or expands complete and every quote you send is work you can do in-house.
02
Keep the machines earning while they pay
Fabrication machinery earns by the hour and lasts for decades. A $1 buyout lease or an equipment finance agreement spreads the purchase over five to seven years, and the jobs the machines run in that time cover the payment many times over.
03
Deduct it in the year it ships
Press brakes, shears and ironworkers are Section 179 property. Buy on a $1 buyout structure and the whole order can be expensed in the year it goes into service, subject to your own tax position and your CPA's advice. Ask us about used and auction machines too.

Questions fab shops ask before financing machinery
Can I finance a press brake or a shear for a metal fabrication shop?
Yes. Metal fabrication equipment financing from American Capital Group covers press brakes, shears, ironworkers, band saws, plasma tables, tube benders, beam lines and the tooling that goes with them, new or used, on one lease. Most machines are approved on an application alone, with no financial statements up to $150,000.
How much does it cost to lease fabrication machinery?
The payment depends on the machine, the term and the end of term option you choose. A 60 ton ironworker on a three year lease is a very different agreement from a 250 ton CNC press brake with tooling on seven years, so send the quote from your dealer through the form on this page and we return real numbers, usually the same business day.
Can I finance a used press brake, ironworker or shear?
Yes. Used fabrication machinery from a dealer, a rebuilder, an auction or a private seller qualifies, and it is often the better buy because a hydraulic brake or a shear built twenty years ago still bends and cuts to specification. We pay the seller directly once the machine is inspected and the paperwork is signed.
Can a new fab shop lease equipment before it has a track record?
Yes. A welder or fabricator leaving an employer to open a shop can finance the first machines against personal credit, trade experience and the contracts already lined up. We fund start-up fabrication shops regularly and can structure the first months around the shop's move-in and power hookup.
